      Oh this is a very good question.
      How are nerve cells formed. When the embryo forms, the tissus divide into three. The ectoderm, the mesoderm and the endoderm. The mesoderm starts making secretions and this attracts ectoderm. They touch the mesoderm anf form the neural tube. The rest of it is complicated. The cells towards the top will form the brain nerve cells and some of the rest becomes the cells in the spinal cord.
