• Question: how long has the sun been around for has It been around longer then the moon?

      The sun has been around for a very very very long time, like 4-5 billion years…And moon came later, like 100 million years after the formation of the sun. 🙂

      The sun is thought to have formed from the collapse of a big could of molecules. And our moon, and much of our planet, comes from the impact of another thing the size of mars! It hit earth, and kicked up a big chunk of stuff that because our moon. Collisions like this happened a lot while the solar system was forming.
