• Question: What is the difference between an autistic brain and a normal brain?

      There are lots and lots of differences. There are differences in the structure of the brain so what the brain is made of. All the bits are there but they might look a bit different and might work a bit differently too. Autistic brains are wired up a little different. Emotions are a bit different and communication is too. People do brain scans of people with autism to have a look at how they are different too.

      Connections between the parts of the brain that deal with language and social skills develop much slower in autistic children.
