      probably the Sun, as it is our own star.

      If you mean besides the Sun, probably Sirius, the North Star, is the most famous as where it is in the sky is always in the direction of north, and it doesn’t appear to rotate around the earth like the other stars as the earth’s axis of rotation is pointed very close to it.
