A thing called Smith-Magenis Syndrome. These children have a gene missing which controls how they see light and how light controls how they sleep. Basically, there is a gene missing which controls how light releases different chemicals in the body. Without this gene, they find it hard to sleep and around 97% of them can’t sleep properly.
