Sleep talking is really really common. Sleep talking linked to dreams can happen because a certain activity in the brain which is usually low during our sleep, but instead be really active and allow us to talk. People aren’t aware that they are talking in their sleep normally. It isn’t usually something to worry about, it is a bit like sleep walking or have a nightmare. It is a thing that disrupts your sleep. As long as it isn’t making you very tired when you wake up, or isn’t because you are very stressed or upset, then it should be okay.

It used to happen to me when I was really stressed about something or when I studied so much. I would actually talk so much that my friends recorded me during my sleep in high school! It was a boarding school so lots of fun (!) 🙂

My brother used to sleep walk-:) Once he opened the front door thinking he was going to the bathroom which was the in the opposite direction! Luckily me and my sister convinced him to go to the real bathroom for the neighbour’s sake! 😀

I guess sleep talking is generally a sign of poor quality sleep but since it is not considered a medical problem people didn’t give it much thought 🙂
