• Question: With a reference to dinasaurs, why are humans only approximately 6 feet tall?

      Dinosaurs grew big because it gave them an advantage … and there was more oxygen.

      But in the modern world, there’s not enough oxygen for such large animals, and being bigger wouldn’t give humans an advantage anyway.

      Amazing question!! Humans don’t really need to be as tall as dinosaurs. All our food is within reach really, not high up on trees or even in the sky!! The atmosphere of the earth was very different back then too. The dinosaurs might have needed to be a lot taller to be able to reach enough oxygen. We have it everywhere now as the Earth is older and the atmosphere has changed. We are lucky, imagine being 20 foot tall. We wouldn’t be able to get on any rides at a theme park!! 🙂
