The brain is made up of about 75% water- so all your memories are pretty much made up of water :p

The human brain looks like a wrinkled walnut due to all similar neurons being pulled to each other! This enables our bodies to fit our super complex organs, brains, to our small skulls!! 🙂

Our brains look like jelly! It is amazing. Something really interesting is that your brain uses 20% of the oxygen in your blood and body! 20% just for your brain!!!

the brain contains about 100 billion neurons, with about 100 trillion connections between them!

An adult brain has about 100 billion cells. Each cell can have tens of thousands of connections to other cells. In total there are hudreds of trillions of connections.

I have lots of interesting facts about the brain! I used to cut up brains for a living! Human brains which is a bit gory but amazingly cool! Our brains can vary in size – usually a female brain is smaller than a male brain but this is not to do with how clever you are, don’t you worry! Brains are the most complex organ in the body – there is so much going on, and a lot of it we don’t know about!! Our brains control everything we do, from our emotions and our decisions, to forming memories and allowing us to breathe on our own. Did you know, the human brain has enough activity in it (electrical activity) to keep your mobile phone running for up to 3 days!! If we could harness the electrical activity in our brains, we could power many devices! That would involve getting through our skulls or doing some surgery which wouldn’t be a good idea!
