• Question: do galaxies ever travel around the universe?

      Just like planets orbit a star… so stars orbit within a galaxy, and galaxies orbit in galaxy clusters, which also orbit each other. And all these clusters are apparently moving towards “the great attractor” … a point in the universe with a very big gravitational pull

      Yes, and no. Galaxies will move around the universe, but their speed is so low compared to the great distances, they don’t travel very much relative to the size of the universe.

      Also, the universe is expanding at a very fast rate and the galaxies are moving along with it, so in some sense they are traveling around, but the entire universe is going with them!

      Yes, they must do since the universe is expanding! 🙂 Whether they do any other sophisticated moves 🙂 I guess it is very hard to tell 🙂
