      They can do, yes. Once they are damaged, neurons are a bit of a hassle to get better or heal completely.

      That’s why when someone falls or has an accident we try not to move people in case something happened to their neurons in their spine/neck which are called the spinal cord. The spinal cord and our brains form our central nervous system. They should be protected to maintain a functioning body, Any trauma to the head or spinal cord can injure nerve cells…
