• Question: Have you ever inspired anyone who's not a scientist to help cure cancer

      Part of a scientist’s job is to apply for funding. That means we have to ask people for money so we can buy chemicals and equipment we need to do our research. The people we ask for money are often not scientists… but we have to inspire them to help…

      For example, the team I work in inspired Scottish Power to help fight cancer, and Scottish Power did this by paying for a second Mass Spectrometer!
