• Question: How long does it take comets to form ?

      Comets are big lumps of frozen gas that are flying through space. They formed from leftovers of our solar system about 5 billion years ago… don’t know how long they took to form though.

      Good, question, we don’t really know. Comets are thought to be the oldest objects in the solar system, which remain after the Sun and Planets form. They are in a sense, the original inhabitants of the solar system.

      We don’t 100% know how long they take to form. We know they are really really old and stick around after suns and planets form.
