      That’s a great question. I don’t think it can happen.

      The material you would need would be great, and there is no obvious place to get that material. You would need another star to move close to the Sun and for the gravity of the Sun to pull this material in. This could then form a new planet. However, this star would disrupt our own solar system and the chances of this happening are pretty low.
