• Question: My sister saw brain surgery and she mentioned a patient who had Parkinson's disease. I want to know, what has Parkinson's disease got to do with neurons?

In Parkinson’s disease, a part of the brain becomes damaged, nerve cells in this region get lost over many years. This loss of nervel cells in the bottom bit of the brain results in tremor (involuntary shaking of particular parts of the body), slow movement and stiff and inflexible muscles. Although there is no cure for Parkinson’s disease yet, there are medicines to delay the diseases progression! ☺️
