• Question: What causes the northern lights?

      They are caused by different particles from, the sun that interact with the atmosphere of the Earth! It causes little things called electrons to get excited. When they get excited, then have to after a while go back to being normal electrons again. When they do this, they release some light, a photon of light. This produces the lights 🙂

      radiation from the sun get pulled towards the north pole by the earth’s magnetic field. the radiation reacts with the air releasing light.
