• Question: what do you like to do in your spare time?why?

      With a full time job and 2 kids it’s hard to find ‘spare time’. But I do like to read, exercise, and travel when I can.

      I play hockey and netball, I like have sport as well as science, body and mind. I think keeping healthy is very important especially as I dont get to do much around the lab. I like hanging out with my other students too- we are good at unwinding after a long day in then lab.

      I like to play with my children, because I miss them when I am at work.

      I like to go to the park with my wife an kids. And I like to play music with my friends (I’m in a band).

      When my brother comes to visit we play computer games and visit the skate park.

      When the kids are a bit older my wife an I will return to dance lessons.

      I play netball and go to the gym a lot. I also like to play the flute and go to gigs. I try and do a lot of things which are different from my science, not that I don’t love my science but you need to be able to do lots of things to relax too. I love playing sport and watching sport. Same as with music. I would love to be able to go to gigs all the time!!!
