      It’s the theory of how the universe began. There was some kind of explosion and all the energy and matter that’s now in the universe came from a single point.

      Or rather it is the start of the universe — the event that began the expansion of all space and matter – we don’t know what caused it but it happened 13.7 billion years ago.
