• Question: What makes us cough?

      Lots and lots of different things. If we breathe in a bit too quick, if we are ill, if we have something irritating our throats and our airways we cough to try and get it out. It is usually because our airway is irritated and we are trying to get rid of whatever it is irritating it.

      A feeling of stuff in the throat is what make you cough… but this can also be voluntary or reflex.
