I keep very good notes so would start again. You’d be amazed how often this happens. The samples that I am working with are less than a centimeter across so when you are using tweezers sometimes they snap or they shatter. This can be up to a months work gone, but you go and have some chocolate and start again 🙂

My hardest work is the software I write.
It’s backed up in several places across Edinburgh and on the internet… so I’m pretty confident it would be very difficult to destroy.

But to answer your question, I’d cry.

I would probably cry and take a break from work for a night:) I would start over the next day:)

Saying that, we do make sure to do everything we can so our work is not lost or destroyed. 🙂

I would probably cry for a very very long time. Hopefully I would be able to go over things again but I work with humans and sometimes getting the data is really hard!
