My biggest discovery was finding out what are all the proteins that are on chromosomes. Chromosomes are very sticky and lots of proteins stick to them anyway, but with my colleague, Shinya Ohta, we were able to figure out which proteins are important for chromosomes, and which are just stuck there.

The proteins are important because they protect the DNA, and so prevent cancer forming.

I discovered a protein that was very important for stem cells which are very important cells that can turn into anything!! Isn’t that cool?
When I took the protein away, the cells were not happy. They could no longer turn into whatever they wanted and when I gave that important protein back to them, they were happy again! 🙂 We call them differentiation factors and our body has many proteins like the one I discovered!! 🙂

Biggest invention? I havent really invented anything yet. I would love to invent something to help children sleep better and help the entire family. Like an app, or a behavioural plan, a game or something like that!
