• Question: When will the universe end?

      I’ve heard 14 billion years, we after you and me are no longer! There are many theories as to how it will end- I’m not an expert but know that one is the big crunch- basically the opposite to the big bang. But currently only time will tell which theory is correct.

      There is still time 🙂 I think it needs to finish expanding first and will start shrinking at some point.

      Saying that The Earth will go much earlier than that, when the Sun becomes a red giant and swallows it!

      I’m intrigued by this one… as a law of physics is that entropy (the amount of disorder) in the universe always increases, but this can’t continue to happen if the universe contracts beyond a certain limit… so does that mean the law is wrong or that the universe can’t collapse. Will time start going backwards? Will black holes become white holes?

      No, I have only quetsions in answer to this question.. sorry!
