• Question: Who was the first astronomer to spot the north star ?

      The north star has been known for thousands of years, and probably was known about by many people even in the early days of humanity. The reason is that it is bright enough to see and back in those days the night sky was dark enough to see the star from all over the northern hemisphere, where it can be seen.
