• Question: Why do some of us get facial hair?

      This is down to genetic variability… and also a bit of environment…

      Hairiness is controlled by a bunch of genes, but also hormone levels. There are probably responses to temperature too, but I don’t think this has been proven yet.

      So differences in facial hair is down to the genes you inherit from your parents, plus the hormones in your body. The hormones levels can change depending… if you’re growing up, if a woman gets pregnant, if a person has a lot of fat tissue… also these things can change how hairy a person is.

      Genetics!!! But not just the genetics, it will be the environment as well. Facial hair will be due to the different genes we have and the environment that we are in. We also get different levels of hormones and different activities can change these levels of hormones. Also, we can have extra hormone added to us which could change this too. When people want more facial hair, extra hormone can be injected to promote growth and change the hormone concentration and level.
